Club Secretary/P.D.G. Joe Maki presents a $1,000 check to Baldwin Township, Delta County Supervisor (Perkins area) and Wendy Demeuse to help their fundraising effort for pagers for the First Responder’s in their area of Delta County.

Minneapolis, St. Paul and Sault Ste. Marie (“The Soo Line”) retired steam locomotive # 730 which is a tourist attraction in Gladstone along the U.S. Highway 2 and 41/M-35 corridor. Annually in November the Soo Line Historical Committee decorates the train for Christmas and invites media and the public to celebrate the event. This year the Committee struggled w insurance requirements for the event until District Governor/Bay De Noc LION Colleen Maki suggested the Club apply for coverage through the LIONS International 1 million insurance policy for such events that are sponsored by a local LIONS Club
